Svitlana Lizakowska – Doctor of Sciences in Public Administration, lecturer at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Polish Naval Academy. Graduate of the Lane Kirkland Scholarship Program of the Polish-American Freedom Foundation.

Career & positions

  • Lecturer at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Polish Naval Academy (Gdynia).
  • Doctor of Sciences in Public Administration.
  • Graduate of the Lane Kirkland Scholarship Program of the Polish-American Freedom Foundation.

In 2007 she graduated from Petro Mohyla State Humanities University in Mykolaiv and received First Class Master’s Degrees in Public Administration and in Social Work.

International activities & projects

Lizakowska S.V. has been actively involved in international internships and professional exchange programs that strengthen cooperation in the fields of public administration and education.

  • May 2010 — internship at the Department of State Patronage of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland.
  • 2012 — participation in the International Parliamentary Internship Programme organised by the Chancellery of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland in cooperation with the University of Warsaw.
  • Expert of the Pomeranian Regional Chamber of Commerce in the field of vocational education and international relations in business (06.05.2015 – 06.05.2017).

Professional internships and mobilities:

  • Internships at institutions in the Republic of Poland within professional development and international cooperation programs.

Work with students

She consistently promotes student research activity, teaches courses and supervises student research in the fields of public administration and social practices.

Research & publications

Author of scientific publications — articles and chapters in collective monographs. Main research directions are related to the interaction of public administration with civil society institutions.

  • Research interests: cooperation of public administration with civil society institutions in the context of citizen participation; social responsibility and self-organization of citizens in the process of civil society development.

Civic activity

She is engaged in active civic work and participates in projects aimed at developing civil society and promoting social responsibility.
